The ‘2023 Inc Festival’ organizers have officially apologized for the inadequate performance management after receiving severe backlash over the weekend.
The ‘2023 Inc Festival’ took place on the 16th at Suwon World Cup Stadium Auxiliary Stadium. Dynamic Duo, Jessi, Hyolyn, Giriboy, Loco, Zico and more performed.
Zico was the headliner. He was scheduled to sing for 30 minutes on the final stage. However, Zico’s time gradually got delayed. The tight schedule was the problem.
Fans report they didn’t consider the stage setting time at all. Then it started pouring rain causing the preparation time to take longer. The performance was delayed. Zico was scheduled to go on stage at 9 pm. However, it was 9:50 pm when he could meet the fans.
Zico was only able to sing 3 songs for 10 minutes and come down. According to the contract conditions, the performance had to end at 10 pm.
Zico had also expressed his regret before the final stage. He said, “I feel so sorry and frustrated. I love the stage and think that promises are important, but unfortunately, it is an outdoor stage according to the contract, so there are time constraints. I prepared well, but it seems that the next song will be the last without an encore.”
After the performance ended, there were complaints. Fans protested, saying, “We waited for 50 minutes and saw only 10 minutes,” “Give us a refund.” In the end, the organizers officially apologized within a day.
The company, which organized the ‘2023 Inc Festival’, KEB Hana Bank said, “We sincerely thank the customers who enjoyed the performance even in the rainy conditions on the 16th.”
They apologized for the delayed performances. “We apologize to the artists who experienced inconvenience due to the delayed operation of the performance time,” they said.
They also apologized to Zico, the last performer. “We sincerely apologize to Zico, who couldn’t show his prepared stage and to the fans who waited for a long time.”
