Actor and singer N (Cha Hak Yeon) will not be participating in the comeback activities of the group VIXX.
N’s agency, 51K, announced through their official social accounts (SNS) account on the 5th, “N will unfortunately not be able to participate in VIXX’s upcoming 5th mini album ‘CONTINUUM’ and album activities scheduled to be released on the 21st.”
51K stated, “Due to the conflicting schedules between VIXX’s album production, drama filming, and the schedules planned for the second half of the year, after careful discussions with the VIXX members, it was decided that N will not be participating in the recording and activities for this album.” They added, “Regarding VIXX’s highly anticipated activities, both N and the members, as well as the fans, had deep discussions, and although it is regrettable, this decision was made unavoidably, so we ask for your understanding.”
VIXX’s agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, also announced through their official fan cafe on the same day, “VIXX’s 5th mini album ‘CONTINUUM’ will be released and promoted by the three members Leo, Ken, and Hyuk.”
Many fans were surprised after the announcement as they had been anticipating a full group comeback for the 1st time in a long time. N had also released an apology letter to fans, he wrote,
To Starlights,
I feel so overwhelmed and unsure of how to continue this letter that I can’t write it well, but after hesitating for a long time, I gather my courage and try.
I apologize for not being able to greet you on stage with VIXX due to my absence in this album promotion. My heart has been heavy until today when I brought up this topic. I know your hearts and burdens through the letters and messages you’ve sent me each time.
I have also thought a lot about whether it is causing difficulty for fans who are waiting without any promises and whether it is burdening the members who are currently protecting VIXX.
After a long time of talking and discussing with the members, I ultimately couldn’t participate in this album promotion as the leader of VIXX. I am sorry for disappointing the fans who had high expectations once again.
To my Starlights who have suffered because of me, I am sincerely grateful and sorry. To Leo, Ken, and Hyuk, who still recognize me as the oldest brother of VIXX and think together with me, I am truly grateful and sorry. Although I cannot be part of this album promotion, I will wholeheartedly support the beautiful memories that will be created between VIXX and Starlights.
