EXO member and actor Do Kyungsoo recently received a fine for indoor vaping!
On September 5th, a post titled “Do Kyungsoo Fined for Indoor Smoking” appeared on the online community Nate Pann. The author stated, “I filed a complaint against Do Kyun-soo for indoor smoking in August” and revealed the results of the complaint processing. In August, a video from EXO’s official YouTube channel titled ‘Music Show Behind’ captured a scene where white smoke was seen coming from Do Kyungsoo’s nose while he was in the waiting room of the MBC headquarters in leading to suspicions of indoor smoking.
According to the results of the complaint processing shared by the author, under Article 9, Paragraph 4, Item 16 of the National Health Promotion Act, office buildings, factories, and mixed-use buildings with a floor area of 1,000 square meters or more are designated as non-smoking areas throughout the facility. Indoor smoking by Do Kyungsoo within the broadcasting company’s building was considered a violation of the non-smoking area. Although the person involved and their agency claimed to have used a nicotine-free e-cigarette, they could not prove this based on the product’s ingredient description and instructions, resulting in the imposition of a fine. According to the National Health Promotion Act, smoking in non-smoking areas incurs a fine of less than 100,000 won (approximately $85).
