EXO‘s Baekhyun has reportedly established his own company. The company’s name is ‘I&B100’.
According to the corporate registration documents obtained by TenAsia on the 3rd of January, Baekhyun’s company is named ‘I&B100’. Baekhyun is the CEO of the company and has completed the registration of internal directors. The company was reportedly established on June 23rd last year, before the controversy surrounding the re-contracting issue with SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM).
Baekhyun, who signed a new contract with SM last year, will continue to work through his personal company ‘I&B100’ alongside SM during the re-contract period. Chen and Xiumin, who have the same intentions, are also reportedly planning to join this company and work together.
Previously, in a live broadcast on his Instagram in the early morning of August 8th last year, Baekhyun said, “I plan to run my own company, and SM has agreed to it positively.” At that time, Baekhyun emphasized that he would continue to work with SM and EXO, stating that he was not leaving SM or EXO.
In addition, it was reported that Baekhyun borrowed a loan of 13 billion won (approximately $11.6 million) at that time and explained that it was a loan made to fulfill his promise and establish his own company, refuting the claim that he was trying to go public with the loan. He added that the loan was taken with the meaning of always living with responsibility without neglecting the operation of his company.
Baekhyun’s side has yet to respond to the reports.
