DAY6 Will Not Promote Their New Album, JYP Explains Why
JYP Entertainment has revealed that DAY6 will not be promoting their newest album.
On April 19, JYP Entertainment released an official statement to explain to fans why DAY6 will not be doing any group promotions this time.
This is due to the absence of their leader Sungjin, who is also the lead vocalist of the band, he’s currently serving in the military and as a result practical difficulties in group activities occurred. The band is unable to perform without Sungjin.
In their statement, JYP apologizes to fans for delivering such unfortunate news. However, the group and the company thought it would be ‘more meaningful to continue the album activities with promotions as a whole group’ and thus, have decided to take a break from this album promotions due to Sungjin’s enlistment.
This is the second time this has happened to DAY6 as the group had also suspended group activities due to members’ health issues last May.
Meanwhile, DAY6 has topped Korean charts upon the release of their newest album.
