Burning Sun CEO Says If Seungri Is Guilty Then All Korean Men Are Guilty
Burning Sun CEO Lee Moon Ho shared his side of the story of all the ongoing scandals revolving around Burning Sun and Seungri in a 20-minute-phone interview with The Kyunghyang Shinmun.
His interview went viral and basically angered everybody, netizens were furious with the way he talked and what he said. International fans were extremely puzzled and furious by what he said as well. Let’s go through some of what he said during this 20-minute long interview.
He explained how he’s connected to Club Arena, he says the club was created because of him and he was the general director
“President Kang supported me. I set up the direction of Arena. Back then, I used to be the sales representative of Arena and met Seungri there.”
He also explains how he came to open Burning Sun, he had planned to be independent from Arena. He said,
“I own 20% of Burning Sun, Seungri owns 20%.”
He then proceeded to defend Seungri, he said,
“If this kakaotalk messages from 3 years ago are illegal, then aren’t all Korean men criminals?
It’s not even that prostitution actually happened, they had only joked about it.
I don’t know what happened in 2015. I am not even part of the group chat with Seungri that’s being discussed recently.”
That previous sentence infuriated netizens. Seungri is currently being accused of many crimes including providing sexual escort services to business partners/investors, illegal gambling, and most recently he’s under suspicion of tax evasion (according to a report by Channel A). He was also in the chatroom where Jung Joon Young shared hidden camera footage.
Lee Moon Ho also defended himself against rumors that women were being drugged at his club with GHB. He said,
“If there are such victims, why aren’t they reporting it to the police and only telling the press? If they filed a lawsuit in the current situation wouldn’t the perpetrator be locked up? They’ll be compensated and get legal punishment, why aren’t they suing?”
He talked about the assault incident that happened in the club he explained,
“I was not there when the assault happened and my drugs test results were questionable. Besides that, I have nothing else to be indicated for.
And I honestly, do you think that drugs (distribution) only happen in Burning Sun?”
Lee Moon Ho is currently being investigated by police on various charges including distribution of drugs and collaborating with the police.
Netizens reacted extremely negative towards the interview he’s done, some comments read,
“Bold words for a criminal.”
“Are they really turning all Korean men into trash like themselves?”
“This guy is really trying to take all Korean men down with him.”

This owner is an idiot. There are victims but they are not publicized for their privacy. The victims are in the freaking videos. There’s footage of Seungri choking and dragging a girl while she was drunk, even I have the footage! He is trying to clear the club’s,Seungri and his name but he did a poor job on it. Obviously no one is going to believe him. Such an idiot I don’t get why Korean people would still go there and give him bussiness he’s obviously going to end up loosing his club anyway.
what video? omg
lol i didnt know all men started prostituting females around 😀 bij please
Which footage? Don’t came here talking shit! There’s no such video.
And yes! He’ll pay when found guilty.
i saw the footage
its not seungri actually…
is staff or director of the club dragging the girl while she drunk
OMG people do you really think that this is isolated incident of one club in Asia??? Please let’s be honest about it, the truth is that this kind of behavior has been happening in majority of clubs around the world not only in Korea. Majority of club owners try their best to keep their clubs sort of ‘clean’ but drug dealers are always on a look out for people that want drugs in clubs, bars and raveclubs, that’s where they find their best customers. Most bar owners work with the local police to stop that but they will never stop it completely and there are many owners who turn blind eye to it and let it happen and the third group of owners even help the dealers to find customers. But this is happening everywhere and is not unique to Korea, if this happens in western world like Canada or US, it will be news but only for a day and we all move on, but in Korea this is a big deal when drugs are being sold at a club. The second issue is providing escorts (prostitutes) to big money investors, LETS BE HONEST HERE, this is done in Asia on regular basis just it is kept quiet, it is a practice that has been in place in Asia and Russia, in some European countries and in North America (too) for of years but never talked about, UNTIL NOW BECAUSE THEY GOT COUGHT, so now since it is out in the open, this club and these celebrities will have to pay heavy price for getting caught, but do you think that this practice will ever stop??? No it will not, because the frame of mind for all those discussing old man is the same, they do business this way and will never change until younger men start taking over and until they will respect women!!!!! It is very sad women exploitative tradition that needs to change and hopefully because it is out in the open, it may give way to men starting to value women differently in Korea, in Asia and around the world. Third issue is tax evasion, that is straight forward and in any country around the world if you do not pay taxes that you owe, you will be persecuted to the full extend of the law. Fourth and the most important issue is those chatroom logs and the clips of women being sexually abused and exploited. I am sorry but all of the people involved ( if they knew that these women were not willing to have sex, being dragged and unable to consent to having sex) should be punished, HOWEVER AND THIS WILL BE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS CASE IS: the people that were commenting on the sex tape, did they have the knowledge of this being assault ? and second part if they knew that this was sexual assault, did they ever talk to someone in authority about it? IF THEY KNEW AND DID NOT TELL ANYONE, THAN THEY ARE COMPLICIT IN THIS SEXUAL ASSAULT, THE SAME AS THEY WOULD ASSAULTED HER THEMSELVES. THIS IS THE LAW and they will be persecuted and get jail time for sure. So this is the analysis of all the issues related to Seungri, his club and his friends.
