Regarding the suspicion of plagiarism related to BTS Jungkook‘s solo song ‘Seven’, Big Hit states its baseless.

On the 22nd of August, Big Hit Music shared that the claim of copyright infringement regarding Jungkook’s ‘Seven’ is not true. They stated, “‘Seven’ is a song created through collaboration with five overseas composers and has nothing to do with a song included in a domestic album from 24 years ago, as claimed by some.”

They further added, “The claim that does not meet any criteria such as substantial similarity or credibility, which are the standards for determining plagiarism, is one-sided.”

Previously, it was claimed that ‘Seven’ copied significant parts of Fin.K.L’s ‘Time of the Mask’ released in 2000. It was pointed out that the melody scales of Jungkook’s ‘Seven’, composed by Andrew Watt, John Belian, Henry Walter, Theron Makiel Thomas, and Latto, matched those of Fin.K.L’s ‘Time of the Mask’.
