BTS Shatter And Set New YouTube Records For “ON” MV, Check Out The Records They Broke So Far

On February 28 at midnight KST, BTS dropped the highly-awaited official MV for the title track “ON” off their full album “Map of the Soul: 7.”





The video was scheduled as a premiere and so many fans tuned in to see it, they also trended various hashtags on twitter to celebrate the highly awaited MV.

65 minutes later, the MV already surpassed the 10 million views, the shortest for any music video in YouTube’s history. It’s also the shortest for BTS, they previously broke the 10 million views record in 2 hours and 52 minutes with “Boy With Luv.”

But that’s not the only record it broke, it also became the most-watched video for a premiere with more than 1.5 million viewers tuning in to see the MV.





This record was confirmed by Kevin Allocca, the Head of Culture and Trends at YouTube via his twitter account. This record is more than 500,000 viewers higher than the previous record.

It also broke the 20 million views record in 5 hours and 9 minutes; it’s the second fastest BTS MV to reach the 20 million views.
