There have been reports that BLACKPINK members Jennie and Jisoo are establishing their own individual agencies, and YG Entertainment has quickly responded to the rumors!

YG stated to Newsen on September 25 that “there is still no confirmed decision regarding BLACKPINK’S re-contracting and future activities.”

Earlier today, media outlets reported that the two members are set to establish separate one-man agencies to manage their activities in South Korea after leaving YG.

BLACKPINK, which debuted in August 2016, is currently facing a crossroads in their contract with YG Entertainment. August marked the end of their seven-year exclusive contract, but both sides have not revealed any official stance regarding the re-contracting until the conclusion of their ” BLACKPINK World Tour Born Pink Finale in Seoul” held on September 16 and 17 at the Goryeo Dome in Seoul.

Before the rumors of Jennie and Jisoo establishing their own agencies, there were speculations on July 12 that only Lisa is likely to not re-contract with YG.

Furthermore, after it was rumored that only Rosé had signed a new contract on September 21 and the remaining three members would be leaving YG, YG officially announced, “There is no confirmed decision regarding BLACKPINK’s re-contracting, and we are currently in discussions.”
