A new exclusive report from a news outlet has stirred a lot of heated discussions among fans as it talks about BLACKPINK’s Lisa’s potential contract renewal with YG!

It has been seven years since the girl group BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie, Lisa) debuted, but there is still no news about their re-signing contract. It is uncertain whether they will continue their journey with YG Entertainment, and this issue has caught the attention of fans, the public, and the entertainment industry, as it could potentially have an impact on the stock market.

BLACKPINK made their debut on August 8, 2016, and celebrated their 7th debut anniversary on August 8 this year. Following in the footsteps of 2NE1, the leading second-generation hip-hop girl group, BLACKPINK was launched by YG Entertainment after a seven-year hiatus.

The question of whether Blackpink will renew their contract with YG Entertainment remains unanswered. Currently, BLACKPINK is on a world tour with an audience of 1.5 million, and they will officially conclude their tour at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 16th and 17th of this month after successfully holding a solo concert in Paris, France with an audience of 55,000 in July. Some speculate that this tour might be the group’s last stage. Some in the securities industry even state that “BLACKPINK will take a break after the world tour,” hinting at a potential stop in activities.

As of now, it is reported that the contract between YG Entertainment and Blackpink has not yet been finalized, even though it has been over a month since their seventh anniversary on August 8th. However, even after the expiration date, if there are fixed schedules, they can still be considered valid under the contract.

There have been various rumors, particularly about member Lisa’s contract renewal. A Chinese agency claimed that Lisa stated her difficulty in scheduling due to the uncertainty of her renewal with YG Entertainment. However, YG responded briefly, saying that Lisa’s August schedule issues were unrelated to her contract and that the contract is currently under discussion.

Additionally, it is rumored that Lisa has received multiple offers from overseas, including her home country Thailand, with offers exceeding billions of won.

Earlier today, one media outlet reported that Lisa rejected YG’s second contract offer, following the first offer. The rumored contract amount was around $40 million.

Other signals directly conveyed by other members are also drawing attention, regardless of the intention behind their statements. Rosé received cheers when she said during a concert in Singapore, “BLACKPINK won’t go anywhere.” Jennie also mentioned “last” before the finale performance at Gocheok Sky Dome.
