BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo has made history!

According to YG Entertainment on March 28, “ME” surpassed 1.24 million pre-orders in three weeks (as of March 27) since it began pre-ordering on March 6. This is the biggest number achieved for the first time by any k-pop female soloist.

“ME” had already set a new record in the sector, surpassing 510,000 in just two days of pre-sale and 950,000 in just two weeks (as of March 20). As the sales are steadily rising, the final tally is expected to increase further.

Purchasing requests were active not only in Korea but also in North America, Europe, China, Japan, and Southeast Asia. It indicates the strong popularity of BLACKPINK, which has spread beyond K-pop throughout the world.

Jenny, Rosé, and Lisa, who were solo artists before Jisoo, all set new records in album sales, YouTube views, and global charts, setting meaningful milestones for K-pop. Attention is focused on the new history that Jisoo will write through “ME,” after becoming a million-seller.

Jisoo will release her first solo album “ME” at 1 p.m. on March 31. The album includes the title song “FLOWER” and the track “All Eyes On Me,” and the music video was filmed overseas with the biggest production cost in Black Pink’s history.

YG said, “Jisoo has worked with producers for a long time and selected tracks that can show her own music colors. Like the album name [ME], you will be able to feel Jisoo’s unique charm.”
