BLACKPINK Jennie Under Fire For Allegedly Violating Quarantine Rules, YG Denies And Clarifies Her Post
BLACKPINK Jennie has caught some heat for her recent Instagram post.
On April 14, BLACKPINK Jennie posted a couple of photos at an arboretum in the city of Paju, along with the caption “An outing.” In the photo, a total of seven different people were holding ice cream, this caused backlash as netizens began to believe Jennie had violated quarantine rules. South Korea has a current ban on private gatherings of five or more people.
The issue grew after Jennie deleted the post in question. More netizens began to question why she deleted it if she didn’t violate any rules and fans argued that Jennie was there filming, and not on a private gathering.
On April 17, YG Entertainment addressed the controversy by clarifying that Jennie had been at that place for work and not for a social gathering. According to a rep, Jennie has gone there to film content for a video.
