After actor Lee Sun Kyun (48) was booked on charges of drug use, a member of the group BIGBANG, Gdragon, has been additionally booked without detention.

According to a report by News1 on the 25th of October, the Incheon Police Agency has booked Gdragon on charges for violation of the drug control law without detention.

After booking Lee, the police conducted a forced investigation and identified Gdragon for further investigation. The police stated, “We cannot disclose specific details as it is an ongoing investigation.”

The police charged Lee without detention for suspicion of marijuana and psychotropic substances under the drug control law.

YG has since issued an initial response telling news outlets, ‘we’re currently checking.’

G-Dragon has been investigated once again for drug use, this time for alleged marijuana consumption, 12 years after his previous suspended sentence for drug possession. It is expected that the entertainment industry, with G-Dragon as one of its representative stars, will be shaken by this shocking drug suspicion.

In September, the police received intelligence and initiated an investigation into A (29, female), the manager of an entertainment establishment. Subsequently, A was arrested on the 21st after confirming the fact that she had taken Philopon (a type of methamphetamine) through a warrant application.

Afterward, through A, the police became aware of Lee’s marijuana suspicion and conducted an investigation, leading to the charging of Lee and employees of the entertainment establishment without detention.

Lee claims that A extorted approximately 350 million won from him by threatening him with drug-related issues, and he has filed a countercharge for extortion.

Apart from Lee, only one other suspect has been arrested. The number of internal personnel involved is five, including a third-generation heir of a conglomerate.
