Yoo Jae Suk Becomes The 2nd Largest Shareholder Of Antenna

Yoo Jae Suk has become a major shareholder of Antenna.

According to a representative from Antenna on the 27th of June, Yoo Jae Suk recently acquired a 20.7% stake in Antenna from Kakao Entertainment. The decision was made after long deliberations between Yoo Hee Yeol, the CEO of Antenna, and Yoo Jae Suk, considering the future growth and vision of Antenna.

According to The Korea Economic Daily, on the 9th, Yoo Jae-suk purchased 2,699 shares of Antenna stock (20.7% ownership) from Kakao Entertainment for 3 billion won [$2.3 million]. On the same day, Yoo Hee Yeol also invested 3.2 billion won [$2.45 million] and gained a 21.3% stake, becoming the second-largest shareholder.

Antenna is a company founded by Yoo Hee Yeol in 1997. In 2021, it was sold to Kakao Entertainment for approximately 10 billion won, becoming a subsidiary of Kakao Entertainment. After Yoo Jae Suk’s exclusive contract with FNC Entertainment expired in 2021, he signed an exclusive contract with Antenna, led by his close friend Yoo Hee Yeol.

Antenna’s roster includes Yoo Hee Yeol, Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Sang Soon, Lee Hyori and many more.
