Jeon So Min is leaving the popular variety show “Running Man”!
On the 23rd of October, her agency, King Kong by Starship, stated, ” Jeon So Min will leave the SBS variety program ‘Running Man’ after recording her last episode on the 30th. It was a program that she had a long-lasting connection with, and it was a decision that required a lot of contemplation involving the members, production team, agency, and a long discussion.”
They further mentioned, “In order to show a better version of herself in her future endeavors, including acting, she felt the need for a short recharge period.” They expressed sincere gratitude to the viewers who had been with Jeon So Min and the ‘Running Man’ program, running, laughing, and crying together for nearly six years since April 2017.
The ‘Running Man’ production team also expressed their regrets about Jeon So Min’s departure through an official statement. They said, “After a long discussion, we decided to respect Jeon So Min’s decision to leave the show. We extend our deep gratitude to Jeon So Min who brightened up the program as a ‘Running Man’ member. We ask for warm support and encouragement for Jeon So Min, who made a difficult decision. The ‘Running Man’ members and production team will continue to support Jeon So Min as an ‘eternal member’.”
