“Queen Of Divorce” concluded its run earlier today, here is a recap of its finale and its ending explained!
“Queen Of Divorce” episode 12 recap
Sa-Ra drops off her son with CEO Son Jang-Mi. She then goes and meets Han Ji-In who hands her documents on the 50 million society that has these five men, the documents show the charts and who’s responsible for the money.
They analyze the document and discover the reporter Park Jong-Il has info on the money, they want to obtain the ledger to corner Noh Yul-Seong. So they invite the reporter and ask him to write an article in exchange for money, he falls for it and the team hands him a traceable bag that leads them to a remote location.
When Noh Yul-Seong sees the article, he warns the reporter who know now he screwed up. the team goes to the remote location and gets an excavator to dig up the money, they don’t find the ledger in the barrel but in the house next to it.
Noh Yul-Seong finds out and he’s obviously pissed, so he kidnaps his own son as Sa-Ra is on her way to report the ledger. Thus, they agree to meet up to exchange the two. Gi-Jun follows closely behind the kid and ensures he’s safe.
Eventually, she hands in the ledger and gets the kid. As she drives away, Noh Yul-Seong sees the ledger is fake and they came prepared. Sa-Ra’s son says hi to Gi-Jun on their way back.
Police launch an investigation into the bribery in the redevelopment area. Gi-Jun and Gi-Jun and Sa Ra meet the secretary trying to sway him and lie to him saying Noh Yul-Seong will throw him under the bus, he tries to act tough but they got to him.
When the prosecutor shows up to Noh Yul-Seong’s office the next day, he tells the secretary to take the fall for killing Sara’s mother, the secretary then realizes he must bring him down.
As he’s cornered, he asks Sara to meet and kidnaps her. He takes her into a remote location and turns on recording asking her to say the ledger is fake and she made it up. She refuses to do so, as he tackles her, a listening device drops, he stomps over it. The team had been following closely behind her ensuring she’s safe.
He figures this out so he takes her to another location near shipping containers, she’s freezing to death and he still has the device recording on, she realizes that, so she pressures him into saying how he killed her mother, he then says it was an accident and he didn’t mean for it, she cries thinking about what happened. He ends up locking her up in the shipping container and fleeing the scene.
As she’s freezing, Gi-Jun notices the containers being shipped overseas so he stops them and finds her inside one of them. He hugs her and comforts her as she collapses into his arms.
As Noh Yul-Seong tries to escape, he’s confronted by police, Sara gets out of the car too and kicks him, she then takes out the phone from his pocket and he still has the recorder on, so she plays the recording where he admits to killing her mother. They take him away.
Sara visits her mother’s grave with her son and Gi-Jun, he says nice things to the mother and then holds her son’s hands and walks away saying he’ll make sure to be there like that. She’s happy to see it.
a few months later
Gi-Jun and Sara are shopping for wedding rings, it turns out that Kang Bom and Kwon Dae-Ki are getting married and they officiate the wedding. the wedding ends happily.
The couple talks about the ceremony once its over and Gi-Jun asks how much longer he must wait, she tries to back out but then suggests they get married for exactly 5 years after he proposes to her with a ring, he’s stunned by the suggestion and asks what they’d do if they’re still in love after 5 years, she says they can get married again then. He says he’ll buy lots of rings each time then.
She then accepts his marriage proposal and they hold hands looking at the beautiful sun.
