The drama “Goodbye Earth” starring actor Yoo Ah In, which had its public schedule postponed due to allegations of drug use, has confirmed its release on April 26th.

On the 29th of March, Netflix unveiled a teaser poster along with the announcement of the release of the series “Goodbye Earth” on April 26th. The teaser poster, which depicts the Korean Peninsula in chaos with only 200 days left until an asteroid hits, captivates viewers.

As South Korea becomes a direct impact zone of the asteroid heading towards Earth, it faces an unavoidable end. The ongoing coverage of disasters, citizen protests surrounding buildings, conflicts among people regarding the end, those hoping to escape to safety zones, and various crimes occurring everywhere preview the diverse issues that the Korean Peninsula will face. The copy “We are waiting for the end” stimulates curiosity about the various stories of people waiting for the end in their own ways.

“Goodbye Earth” tells the story of a world turned into chaos by the impending collision between Earth and the asteroid, D-200, and the people who continue to live today despite the end. Based on the novel “Goodbye Earth” by Japanese author Kota Ishaka, the drama is directed by Kim Jin-min, known for “My Name,” and written by Jung Sung-joo.

Above all, the release of “Goodbye Earth” was temporarily postponed due to Yoo Ah In’s allegations of drug use, which arose after all filming had been completed. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings related to these allegations, Netflix has decided to proceed with the release.
