Netflix confirmed the production and casting for new series “Mr. Plankton.”

Entertainment streaming service Netflix has announced the production and casting of the new series ‘Mr. Plankton.’ On the 12th of July, they revealed the casting of Woo Do Hwan, Lee Yoo Mi, Oh Jung Se, and Kim Hae Sook.

“Mr. Plankton” is a Netflix series that tells the story of a man named Haejo, who was mistakenly born as an unusual ‘sea creature,’ and Jemi, the unhappiest woman in the world, as they embark on a final journey in life together.

Woo Do Hwan takes on the role of Haejo. Haejo, who was born as an unconventional ‘creature,’ without a family, chooses a life of wandering. Suddenly, news that shakes up his life finds its way to him, and Haejo sets out to find his biological father, who he knows nothing about.

Lee Yoo Mi portrays the role of Jemi, the unhappiest prospective bride in the world. Jemi, who always longed for a family, unexpectedly finds herself joining Haejo on his unpredictable journey just before her upcoming marriage to Junga, the fifth-generation heir of a traditional family.

Oh Jung Se plays the role of Junga, a prominent figure in the traditional family. To overcome the opposition of the elderly members of his family, Junga resorts to an unexpected tactic of claiming Jemi is pregnant with their child. However, on the day of the wedding, Jemi mysteriously disappears with Haejo, leaving Junga furious and determined to pursue them.

Kim Hae Sook portrays the mother of Junga and the daughter-in-law of the traditional family. As the backbone of the powerful food industry business owned by the wealthy Pungyeong family, she exudes an intimidating presence. Filled with anger at the fact that Jemi, the prospective daughter-in-law she had accepted, disappears alongside Haejo, she unleashes her wrath to capture Haejo without hesitation.

“Mr. Plankton” portrays the journey of Haejo, who has no attachment to anyone and cannot find a place to belong, as he searches for his roots.

“Mr. Plankton” air date has not been confirmed yet.
