The actor Choi Hyun Wook’s sighting story has caught attention.
Recently, a video titled “Apgujeong Rodeo Actor Choi Hyun Wook Sighting” was released on an online community causing a lot of backlash for the actor.
In the video, Choi Hyun Wook is seen smoking on the streets wearing a black tank top, white shorts, and a checkered long-sleeved shirt tied around his waist. Despite it being late at night, Choi Hyun Wook is wearing sunglasses and is engaged in a conversation with two women while smoking.
Especially, after smoking, Choi Hyun Wook casually throws the cigarette butt on the roadside next to the car he was leaning on. There is also controversy surrounding whether the location was a designated smoking area or not.
Furthermore, in the video, Choi Hyun Wook is seen holding hands with a woman sparking interest in their public relationship status.
After the video went viral, Choi Hyun Wook’s agency, Gold Medalist, released his handwritten apology letter.
He wrote, “First of all, I apologize to my fans for disappointing them. Despite the responsibility to act with caution at all times, I disappointed many people with reckless behavior. I apologize once again to the drama director, writer, staff, actors, and many others I work with. I will accept criticism and advice humbly and reflect on myself. I promise to make efforts to show a more mature side of myself in the future.”
Gold Medalist also stated, “We apologize. Recently, while having a conversation with acquaintances on the street, Choi Hyun Wook improperly handled the cigarette and acted carelessly. He acknowledges his mistakes and deeply reflects on them. He sincerely apologizes to those who were disappointed. He will be more careful with his actions and show self-restraint. We will also manage him more meticulously.”
Choi Hyun Wook made his debut in 2019 and he’s currently appearing in the tvN drama “Sparkling Watermelon.”
