“The Midnight Studio” cast will present a ‘life drama’ through a ghost story.

On the 11th of March, the production presentation of the Genie TV original drama ‘The Midnight Studio’ was held. Director Song Hyun-wook, actors Joo Won, Kwon Nara, Eum Moon Seok, and Yoo In Soo attended the event.

‘The Midnight Studio’ is a drama that depicts a thrilling and mysterious story that unfolds between the gruff photographer Seo Ki-joo (Joo Won) of a photo studio specializing in ghost guests and the passionate lawyer Han Bom (Kwon Nara) as they interact with cold night guests moving between life and death.

Joo Won, who plays the role of Seo Ki-joo, a photographer who takes the last record of ghosts for generations in the drama, forms a love line with Kwon Nara, who plays the role of Han Bom, a lawyer who can see ghosts.

Joo Won expressed his happiness about working with Kwon Nara, saying, “I was happier than any other shoot. I want to use the expression ‘I was happy,’ not just ‘it was good.’ We gave a lot of opinions to each other about who this scene was for, and it seemed like we made each other shine.” He also mentioned, “I received a lot of care and comfort from Kwon Nara on set. Our chemistry was perfect.”

Joo Won explained that he decided to appear in the drama because he was looking for a warm drama that he could enjoy watching and acting in, saying, “When I saw ‘The Midnight Studio’ while looking for such a work, I cried alone at home while reading the script. I really wanted to participate.”

Kwon Nara said, “Like Joo Won, I sympathized with the warm story. The line in the script that says, ‘At the end of life, at the edge of death, who do you want to remember with in your last picture?’ was so good.”

Kwon Nara also mentioned that she heard a lot about Joo Won’s personality before filming ‘The Midnight Studio.’ She said, “I heard that Joo Won is famous for being nice among male actors at the dermatology I used to go to. Joo Won was very kind and considerate, just as I had heard. I want to become a good senior like Joo Won.”

In particular, Joo Won and Kwon Nara described ‘The Midnight Studio’ as a “life drama.” Joo Won said, “I hope ‘The Midnight Studio’ does well more than any other work. I hope the warm heart and harmony are delivered well, so that viewers can also heal.”

Yoo In Soo plays the role of Go Dae-ri, a third-year employee at the photo studio specializing in ghost guests. Go Dae-ri is a ghost who wanted to go on a blind date while alive but died without being able to fulfill that desire. Yoo In Soo explained, “I’ve tried acting as a zombie and a superhero before. In terms of acting difficulty, Go Dae-ri was the most difficult. I couldn’t make eye contact with living people and had to give the feeling of always being at odds.”

Eum Moon Seok plays the role of Baek Nam-gu, a ghost who handles miscellaneous tasks at the photo studio specializing in ghost guests. Baek Nam-gu was a former marine corps detective who died in an accident. Eum Moon Seok said, “Baek Nam-gu is a character who uses psychic powers. In ‘The Midnight Studio,’ I am in charge of action scenes. I play the role of catching evil ghosts inside the photo studio.”

Meanwhile, ‘The Midnight Studio’ premiered on Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, and ENA at 10 p.m. earlier today.
