“Squid Game” Is The First Ever Korean Drama To Be Awards At The Gotham Awards
“Squid Game” continues to make history!
On November 29 (local time), the ceremony for the 2021 Gotham Awards was held in New York and “Squid Game” walked away with an award.
“Squid Game” actors Lee Jung Jae and Jung Ho Yeon attended the award show alongside director Hwang Dong Hyuk and the production company’s CEO Kim Ji Yeon.
The drama was nominated for Breakthrough Series – Over 40 Minutes, and Lee Jung Jae was nominated for Outstanding Performance in a New Series. The drama took home Breakthrough Series – Over 40 Minutes, making it the first Korean drama to win at the Gotham Awards.
