Actor Song Joong Ki is set to make a special appearance in support of his close friend, actress Kim Ji Won, in the upcoming tvN weekend drama ‘Queen of Tears.’
On February 23, the production team of ‘Queen of Tears’ confirmed to Newsen, “Song Joong Ki will make a special appearance in ‘Queen of Tears.'”
The drama, scheduled to premiere on March 9 at 9:20 PM, follows the story of Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji Won), the third-generation heir of a queens’ group and the queen of a department store, and Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo Hyun), the son of the head of the Yongdu-ri village and a supermarket prince. It tells the thrilling crisis and miraculous restart of the love story between the couple in their third year of marriage.
Starring Kim Ji Won, with the special appearance of Song Joong Ki, the two actors previously built a friendship by co-starring in the KBS 2TV drama ‘Descendants of the Sun’ in 2016 and the tvN weekend drama ‘Arthdal Chronicles’ in 2019.
They are colleagues who have shared camaraderie as they both belong to the same agency.
