In the latter part of ‘“My Name is Loh Kiwan”, there is a bed scene between Loh Kiwan and Mari, who heal each other’s wounds and fall in love. Although the actual scenario was more intense, it was modified during the directing process.

Song Joong Ki mentioned, “I never asked Sung Eun if she felt pressured before filming, but I didn’t feel any pressure at all, and Sung Eun also didn’t seem to feel any pressure” and explained, “The bed scene was originally described more intensely in the scenario. The reason for the final modification would be the intention of the production team.”

In response, director Kim Hee Jin explained in an interview with OSEN, “The bed scene intensity was higher in the previous version of the scenario. However, it was important to do it within the flow of our movie without causing any disturbances” and said, “There was a lot of consideration in adjusting the intensity, as focusing too much on that aspect could be detrimental. I thought the current intensity was appropriate” and completed the scene.

Song Joong Ki said, “I didn’t feel any pressure about the intensity. What was more important than the intensity was the shared emotions between Loh Kiwan and Mari” and showed a professional attitude by saying, “I didn’t care about the intensity or the specific scenes, I felt no pressure at all.”

Meanwhile, the movie was released on Netflix in over 190 countries on the 1st of March.
