Song Ha Yoon, an actress, confirmed that she was forced to transfer high schools due to a school violence incident during her high school years. However, her agency King Kong by Starship clarified that the forced transfer was unrelated to the previous shocking report about her!

On the 2nd of April, her agency stated, “It is true that Song Ha Yoon transferred schools due to an incident related to school violence at Banpo High School.” They also mentioned that the matter was not related to the JTBC report and that they have no connection with the informant. They further added, “This matter is unrelated to the report from ‘The Informant.’ There is no acquaintance with the informant. The forced transfer was not mentioned in relation to the current issue. We will clarify when the time is appropriate.”

The Law on the Prevention of School Violence and Countermeasures was enacted in January 2004 and has been enforced since July of that same year. Forced transfer falls under Article 8, which is the highest level of punishment apart from expulsion, aiming to prevent continuous violent acts by forcing the perpetrator to transfer to another school. Song Ha Yoon, born in 1986, was a third-year high school student at the time in 2004.

There were suspicions raised about the deletion of Song Ha Yoon’s attendance records at Chungwon High School and Banpo High School on information site Namuwiki. Currently, her profile only mentions attending Apgujeong High School. Therefore, there are concerns that Song Ha Yoon’s camp may have deleted the evidence of the forced transfer to distance themselves from the school violence allegations.

Previously, Song Ha Yoon’s school violence allegations were brought up through the broadcast of a JTBC show on the 1st of April. The informant claimed that 20 years ago in August 2004, during high school, they were subjected to school violence by a senior student, S. The informant stated, “One day during lunchtime, S called me and started hitting me as soon as we met. I was slapped for an hour and a half for reasons I still don’t know.”

The informant, now residing in the US, decided to report after seeing S appearing on a variety show recently. They mentioned that they do not seek financial compensation but want to hear the reason for the assault and receive a sincere apology.

After the report, S was identified as Song Ha Yoon. In response to this, Song Ha Yoon’s side mentioned that they contacted the informant to confirm the facts but were refused a meeting and did not receive a response to their phone call.

Song Ha Yoon’s school violence issue had previously surfaced in 2018 as well, with online communities mentioning her transfer from Banpo High School to Apgujeong High School.
