Actors Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun JTBC drama “Welcome to Samdalri” has confirmed its premiere date! This will mark the first JTBC drama for both actors.
“Welcome to Samdalri” tells the story of Sam-dal, who left her hometown and rose to success while disregarding the importance of the river, in contrast to Yong-pil, who cherishes the river. After losing everything and hitting rock bottom, Sam-dal returns to her hometown and seeks solace. It is a heartwarming and humorous drama that portrays characters who, despite becoming adults, remain delicate and inexperienced in life, providing healing and warm emotions.
Ji Chang Wook will play the role of Jo Yong-pil, a weather forecaster at the Jeju Island Weather Agency. Shin Hye Sun will play the role of Cho Eun-hye, or rather, Cho Sam-dal. Sam-dal, who has dreamt of leaving the island since childhood, escapes to Seoul and endures a difficult life as an assistant in the fashion photography industry under the pseudonym “Cho Eun-hye.” After eight years of hard work, she eventually climbs to the top. However, in an unexpected turn of events, her hard-earned success crumbles in an instant. She returns to the river she once dreamed of escaping from and assumes her old name, Sam-dal.
The newly released video teaser features Sam-dal doing her best to avoid running into Yong-pil and the various hilarious situations that happen because of it.
“Welcome to Samdalri” will air on December 1st on JTBC.
