We have new details about the highly anticipated March kdrama “Queen Of Tears”!

On January 12, tvN unveiled new stills of “Queen Of Tears” and shared further details about each of the main actors roles.

“Queen of Tears” tells the story of Hong Hae-in, the heiress of a queen’s group conglomerate and department store queen, and Baek Hyun-woo, the son of a village chief and supermarket prince, who are a married couple facing a thrilling crisis and a miraculous restart of their love.

The drama has gathered attention as it is written by Park Ji-eun, who has created hit romance dramas such as “My Love from the Star,” “The Legend of the Blue Sea,” and “Crash Landing on You.” It is directed by Jang Young-woo, known for “Irresistible Love,” and Kim Hee Won, known for “Vincenzo” and “Little Women.” The drama also boasts a lineup of trusted actors including Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Lee Joo Bin, promising to bring touching tears.

Kim Soo Hyun takes on the role of Baek Hyun-woo, the legal counsel of the queen’s group who was born in a rural village. Baek Hyun-woo, with his handsome face and a law degree from a prestigious university, is a dragon born in a small village. In his third year as the husband of queen Hong Hae-in, amidst everyone’s envy, an unexpected crisis approaches Baek Hyun-woo. What kind of waves will Baek Hyun-woo face as the vice president of the queen’s group?  

Kim Ji Won plays the role of Hong Hae-in, the CEO of the queen’s department store. Born into wealth and having never bowed down to anyone, Hong Hae-in is a queen who has always been envied by others. She chooses Baek Hyun-woo, the son of a village supermarket owner, and achieves a glamorous life, but unexpectedly faces difficulties. The focus is on how Hong Hae-in will overcome this crisis and the transformation of Kim Ji Won as she portrays the character of an absolute monarch, Hong Hae-in.

Along with that, the chemistry between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won as a married couple is also attracting curiosity. The drama will present a deep romance, from passionate excitement to heartwarming emotions, as the two characters who come from opposite worlds mingle and overcome challenges.

Park Sung Hoon plays the role of Yoon Eun-sung, an M&A specialist who used to be a Wall Street analyst. Yoon Eun-sung, a well-known investor that everyone knows, returns to Korea after a long time abroad and starts a relationship with the queen’s group.

Kwak Dong Yeon injects vitality into the drama as Hong Su-cheol, the CEO of Queensmart. Hong Su-cheol, Hong Hae-in’s younger brother, grew up under his influential sister and is happily married to Cheon Da-hye, who is the opposite of Hong Hae-in.

Cheon Da-hye, Hong Su-cheol’s beautiful wife, is portrayed by Lee Joo Bin. With her elegant and sophisticated visual, polite demeanor, and the charm of being knowledgeable in various fields as a scholar, Cheon Da-hye receives a lot of affection from the adults in the queen’s group.
