The wedding rings of the on-screen couple Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won in the new drama “Queen Of Tears” has caught the attention of netizens!
The drama, which premiered on the 9th of March, tells the story of the thrilling crisis and miraculous love story of a 3-year-old couple, Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji Won), the third generation of the Queens Group conglomerate and the queen of the department store, and Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo Hyun), the son of the village chief of Yongduri and the prince of the supermarket.
In the drama, Kim Soo Hyun’s character is a graduate of a prestigious law school from the rural village of Yongduri who has risen to become the legal counsel of the Queens Group, while Kim Ji Won’s character is the third generation of the Queens Group conglomerate and the president of Queens Department Store.
The wedding rings worn by the two were from brand B. The ring worn by Kim Soo Hyun costs 1,950,000 won [~$1,482], while the one worn by Kim Ji Won, with the same design but with a full diamond pavé setting, is priced at 10,400,000 won [~$7,904]. The difference in the pricing for both rings has caught the attention of netizens.
The first episode of ‘Queen of Tears’ recorded an average nationwide household rating of 5.9%, peaking at 6.9%. The second episode, which aired the following day, recorded an average nationwide household rating of 8.7%, peaking at 10.2%, showing a significant increase. The drama has generated many positive responses from both domestic and international audiences.
