Police Reveal Hair Test Results For Lee Sun Kyun’s Alleged Drug Use Is Inconclusive, May Need To Take Additional Samples

The investigation into actor Lee Sun Kyun’s drug allegations is unfolding differently from whats expected and police has come under fire again for their handling of his case.

According to the police on November 15, the National Forensic Service recently conducted a detailed examination of Lee Sun Kyun’s leg hair, but the opinion was conveyed to the police that it was not possible to determine the presence of drugs due to insufficient hair weight.

The police plan to summon Lee Sun Kyun again soon. It was reported that they are considering options such as re-collecting leg hair for additional testing.

The police are facing difficulties in proving Lee Sun Kyun’s drug allegations. After booking Lee Sun Kyun on October 23 on suspicion of drug use, the police conducted a preliminary test on October 28. The result was negative. In addition, they collected 100 strands of Lee Sun Kyun’s hair (approximately 10 cm) for precise testing, but all segments were determined to be negative. As a result, it was revealed that Lee Sun Kyun had not used drugs for at least 8 to 10 months.

The actual person involved has neither admitted nor denied the allegations. Prior to the the summon for investigation on November 4, Lee Sun Kyun stated, “I apologize once again for causing concern to many people.” When asked by reporters whether he admits to the drug allegations, he replied, “I will answer sincerely during today’s investigation process.”
