Park Jung Min and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo are reportedly partnering for upcoming drama!
According to various media outlets, Park Jung Min and Jisoo have been cast as the leads in the new Coupang Play series “Influencer” (written by Han Ji-won and Ji Ho-jin, directed by Yoon Sung-hyun).
Later, sources from their agencies confirmed the two actors have been offered leading roles for the upcoming drama. However, both actors are not yet confirmed but considering the project.
“Influencer” is a drama set in the backdrop of a high-rise building air defense unit in Seoul, depicting the story of soldier Jae-yoon and his girlfriend Young-ju, who has just been notified of their breakup, as they fight against a horde of zombies and run towards each other. It is based on the novel of the same name by writer Han Sang-woon.
Writer Han Jin-won, known for “Parasite,” will pen the drama while Yoon Sung-hyun’s who directed “The Guardian” and “Time to Hunt,” will be at the helm.
Park Jung Min was offered the role of Jae-yoon, who enlisted in the military at the age of 26 after aiming for alternative military service due to employment in a defense industry company. He becomes obsessed with his girlfriend due to anxiety about the future and eventually breaks up with her, facing a world turned upside down by a horde of zombies. Initially weak and lacking confidence, he starts to take on the role of a leader within his unit as he fights against the zombie attacks.
Jisoo was offered the role of Young-ju, a rookie rubber shoe salesperson, who struggles due to Jae-yoon’s lack of understanding towards her feelings and eventually receives a breakup notification. While trying to meet her boyfriend, she witnesses the outbreak of zombies and gradually transforms into a strong and resilient individual through the fight for survival.
