We have a new Netflix project coming soon that stars some of the biggest names in the industry.
On July 21, it was confirmed that Park Bo Young, Yeon Woo Jin, Jang Dong Yoon, and Lee Jung Eun will play leading roles in the upcoming heartwarming drama titled “Daily Dose of Sunshine.”
The drama is based on a webtoon titled “Morning Comes to Psychiatric Wards Too.” It tells the real-life experience of a psychiatric nurse named Da Eun. She meets people with wounded hearts at the psychiatric ward.
Park Bo Young is taking on the role of Jung Dae Eun, a nurse who transfers from internal medicine to neuropsychiatry. She’s a newbie and is clumsy but treats patients with sincerity.
Yeon Woo Jin will play the role of Dong Go Yoon. He is a proctologist with a quirky personality, he finds himself smiling when looking at Dae Eun’s pure warm actions towards her patients.
Jang Dong Yoon takes on the role of Song Yoo Chan, he is a close friend of Da Eun. They ‘fight’ all the time but he hides a deep wound behind his bright personality.
Lee Jung Eun is taking on the role of Song Hyo Shin, the head nurse who always takes care of the other nurses in the psychiatric ward. She is skilled and experienced.
“Daily Dose of Sunshine” will be directed by Director Lee Jae Gyu, who previously worked on the Netflix series “All of Us Are Dead.” It will be penned by “The Light In Your Eyes” screenwriter Lee Nam-Kyu and two more screenwriters named Oh Bo-Hyun and Kim Da-Hee.
The drama is expected to be released some time in 2023.
My personal thoughts- written by Jass K.
Wow! I like the outline of the story. Also, I have hope since “The Light In Your Eyes” screenwriter is penning this one. “The Light In Your Eyes” is one of the my personal fav underrated kdramas.
Also, I think Jang Dong Yoon has like three projects coming up if I am not mistaken, he’s going to be busy.
I don’t have the easiest time imaging Bo Young and Yeon Woo Jin together, but generally speaking, she usually has good chemistry with her co-stars.
I have high hopes for this one.
