Netflix’s Upcoming Kdrama “Squid Game” has finally unveiled its first-ever official poster.
“Squid Game” tells the story of a mysterious survival game with a reward of 45.6 billion won (about $40 million). Lee Jung Jae and Park Hae Soo play the role of two childhood friends who end up joining the game, but come to learn that their lives are at stake. The poster suggests the competing group’s primary motivation is to escape this game alive.
It was also revealed that the games in “Squid Games” are known Korean games that most Koreans play during their childhood but with a fatal twist.
The director of the drama Hwang Dong Hyuk has revealed that it took him 10 years of planning to bring the vision to life. Many fans probably already know the director for his movies “Silenced” and “Miss Granny”, this is the first time he’s taken on the challenges of a series.

“Squid Game” joins September kdrama lineup, it premieres on Netflix on September 17.
Are you excited to see Netflix’s “Squid Game”?
My personal thoughts- written by Jass K.
This sounds so good. I can’t wait.
For some reason, I wasn’t aware of this Netflix project but they’re one of the best in the industry when it comes to allowing directors to experiment freely. Netflix is known for funding basically anything that could be considered interesting so I am excited to see how this pans out.
The cast lineup is terrific, they’re all amazing actors. I really like such types of dramas in general. One of my wishes was to see something similar to “Liar Game” again, I like such a format.
I know that Netflix will not censor and will use a lot of money to make the PD’s vision happen. September is already filled with amazing upcoming projects and this has been added to my watch list.
