Netflix has announced its plans to release the second season of the original series “Gyeongseong Creature”!
The first season of “Gyeongseong Creature” tells the story of creating monsters (creatures) through biological experiments by the Japanese during the time when Seoul was known as Gyeongseong, just before the liberation in 1945.
Park Seo Joon played the role of Jang Tae-sang, who infiltrates a hospital where biological experiments are being conducted to find a missing Joseon native gisaeng (a female entertainer), and Han So Hee portrayed Yoon Chae-ok, who goes to the hospital with Jang Tae-sang to find her mother.

The first season, consisting of 10 episodes, ranked first in Netflix rankings in Korea and also ranked third globally among non-English language shows. It also ranked within the top 10 in 69 countries, including Brazil, Japan, Singapore, France, and Australia.
“Gyeongseong Creature” season 2 plot and release date
Netflix explained that in the second season, set in 2024 Seoul, the story will delve into the unfinished connections, fate, and ill-fated relationships of Gyeongseong, where Jang Tae-sang and a character named Ho-jae, who resembles him in every way, meet Yoon Chae-ok.
Director Jung Dong-yoon stated that the second season focuses on the fate and future of Tae-sang and Chae-ok and described it as a story with a completely different charm.
According to Netflix, the 2nd season will air some time in 2024.

Lee Moo Saeng, who appeared in dramas such as “The Glory,” “The Silent Sea,” and “Maestro,” and Bae Hyun Sung, who appeared in “Our Blues” and “Miracle’s Boys,” will join the cast for the second season.
