Actress Lim Ji Yeon and actor Choo Young Woo are set to appear in a historical drama, ‘Lady Ok-ssi.’
On the 6th, JTBC announced the confirmation of the broadcast of the historical drama ‘Lady Ok-ssi’ set in the Joseon era, and revealed that Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo have been cast as the leads.
‘Lady Ok-ssi’ tells the story of Ok Tae-young, whose name, status, and even husband are all fake, and Cheon Seung-hwi, who risks his life to protect her.
Lim Ji Yeon will portray Ok Tae-young, an expert in Joseon’s legal matters from an outside department. She is a highly skilled individual with excellent intellect, physical abilities, and craftsmanship, living with a hidden identity under a false name and status.
Cheon Seung-hwi, played by Choo Young Woo, risks his life to protect Ok Tae-young. He is a wandering storyteller who reads novels across the country and is a character unyielding in the face of love.
The drama brings together director Jin Hyeok, known for works like ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea’ (2016) and ‘Master’s Sun’ (2013), and writer Park Ji-sook, known for ‘Uncle’ (2021) and ‘The Spring Day of My Life’ (2014).
The drama is set to air in 2024 as part of JTBC’s studded lineup for 2024 dramas.
