Singer Lee Seung Gi’s agency, Human Made, has officially addressed the controversy surrounding fan services during his US concert.
On the 4th of September, Human Made released a full statement to explain the situation regarding Lee Seung Gi’s recent trip to the U.S., his fan meeting and various unfavorable rumors surrounding his visit.
Here is the full official statement from Human Made:
Hello. This is Human Made.
We would like to address Lee Seung Gi’s US concert.
Firstly, we would like to clarify the controversy surrounding fan services. Human Made and Lee Seung Gi have never agreed to any form of fan meeting at the restaurant in question. The sponsorship of the restaurant was arranged by the local concert planning company. We have no knowledge of the details of the contract, and we want to emphasize that neither the artist nor our company has been involved in any financial matters.
We regret the attempt to maliciously tarnish the artist’s reputation by portraying some individuals who were present at the restaurant on that day, as well as acquaintances, as ‘representatives of all Korean immigrants’ in the US.
We deeply appreciate the fans who have always supported and watched over Lee Seung Gi during his performances. We promise to do our best to prevent any misunderstandings between the fans and the company in the future.
Thank you.
While not stated during this statement, the singer-actor had a concert scheduled for New Jersey, but the event was canceled due to issues from the venue’s side.
