Actor Lee Do Hyun has commented on the pending military enlistment in a new interview.
On the 8th of June, the JTBC drama “The Good Bad Mother” came to an end and since then, the actors from the drama have been conducting interviews to look back on the drama’s success.
Lee Do Hyun has firmly establishing himself as a rising star in various projects, the year 2023 has become his most successful year in his career with back to back dramas that found massive success.
However, Lee Do Hyun is scheduled to enlist this year. He is in a situation where he is about to make his screen debut with the movie ‘Paramour’ directed by Jang Jae Hyun. Lee Do Hyun himself shared his calm feelings about this matter.
The reporter asked, “You receive much praise and recognition as a lead actor but have to enlist. Isn’t it regrettable?”
Lee Do Hyun said, “I don’t feel it’s a regretful matter. I’ve wanted to join the military since a long time ago. Since I have to go, it’s something that needs to be done. On the contrary, I think there’s a lot I can learn once I go there. I haven’t had time to learn something while working for the past 4-5 years. If I go to the military for a year and a half to two years, I can develop myself, learn from my colleagues’ strengths, and gain valuable experiences. I want to go quickly. The exact timing hasn’t been confirmed yet, but due to my age, I have to enlist within this year. In the past, people said that the Marines, Special Forces, and other units known for being tough were difficult, but I don’t feel any resistance towards the military because I think I can learn a lot in those challenging and demanding environments.”
