JTBC has unveiled the 1st script reading photos of “Not a Hero, But”!
The production team of the new JTBC drama “Not a Hero, But,” scheduled to be first broadcasted in 2024, has released a script reading scene filled with joy from the start. Anticipation is rising for the meeting of the actors who will portray the story of a special yet ordinary family.
“Not a Hero, But” is a fantasy romance about a man with extraordinary abilities who finally saves his destined woman, whom no one else could save. It tells the story of a special family that loses their powers.
Director Jo Hyun-tak, who showcased outstanding directing in “SKY Castle” and has been recognized for his directing skills, takes the helm, while writer Ju Hwa-mi, known for her empathetic storytelling in dramas like “Marriage, Not Dating,” handles the script. The script reading was also attended by the main cast members including Jang Ki Yong, Chun Woo Hee, Go Doo Shim, Claudia Kim, Oh Man Seok, and Park So Yi.
Jang Ki Yong plays the role of Bok Gwi-Joo, a man with the ability of “time slip” but loses his abilities due to depression. He will portray a powerless and depressed individual who meets the mysterious woman Doh Da-hae (played by Chun Woo Hee) and undergoes a transformation.
Chun Woo Hee transforms into Do Da Hae, a suspicious woman who appears in front of the Bok family who all lose their supernatural abilities due to various disorders. Claudia Kim plays Bok Gwi Joo’s older sister Bok Dong Hee, who can no longer utilize her ability to fly due to bulimia.
Veteran actor Go Doo Shim transforms into Bok Man-heum, the heir of the extraordinary family and the ability of premonition, she loses her ability due to insomnia.
Oh Man Seok injected energy into the drama as the only “powerless” member of the Bok family, playing the role of the lively father Eom Soon-gu. Displaying a warm and charming personality,
Meanwhile, the JTBC drama “Not a Hero, But” is scheduled to be broadcasted in the first half of 2024.
