Actors Jang Geun Suk, Heo Sung Tae, and Lee Elijah have confirmed their appearance in the crime series “The Chronicles of Crime.”

On August 30, Coupang Play said, “We will film the crime thriller series ‘Chronicle of Crime’ in the second half of this year which digs into past unsolved cases through current criminal cases.”

Jang Geun Suk plays the role of Koo Do Han, a violent crime detective who specializes in lawyers. It is expected that he will transform into a moderately secular and moderately righteous character and show his acting skills with a 100% synchronization rate. As a result, “The Chronicles of Crime” became the first return drama in four years since the drama “Switch: Change the World” in 2018, in which Jang Geun Suk appeared before serving as a social service agent.

Heo Sung Tae, who has become famous after appearing in various genres of works such as the drama “Squid Game,” “Beyond Evil,” the movie “Hunt,” and Coupang Play’s “SNL Korea Season 2,” plays the born-to-be swindler “No Sang Cheon.” He plans to upgrade his main specialty, the villain’s acting, to a character with natural meanness and to completely showcase his acting.

Recognized for her wide acting skills in dramas such as “Fight for My Way,” “Miss Hammurabi,” “The Last Empress,” and “Chief of Staff.” Lee Elijah plays a passionate reporter “Cheon Na Yeon,” who is always ready for battles. She will capture the hearts of viewers with a different look that has been not shown in the previous works.

On top of that, many brilliant actors in any work, including Lee Sung Wook, Lee Seung Joon, Park Myung Hoon, Oh Yeon Ah, and Lee Won Jong, will be the supportive cast to add special fun.

While attention is being paid to what synergy they will create with box office maker Kim Hong Sun, it is expected that a new style of crime thriller will be created with a fresh story as well as with a motive to create a rare event.

My personal thoughts- written by Jass K.

Wow! its been four years since I’ve seen Jang Geun Suk, he sure is taking his time in-between projects which is sad because I think he’s very talented.

The idea seems nice and the combination is definitely interesting so I am looking forward to this.
