The drama “When Life Gives You Tangerines” featuring IU and Park Bo Gum will be released on Netflix.
On the 30th of January, Netflix announced this news. “When Life Gives You Tangerines” is a work that portrays the adventurous lives of rebellious girl Ae Soon (played by IU), who was born in Jeju, and stoic man Gwansik (played by Park Bo Gum). It has attracted attention as the meeting of IU and Park Bo Gum, as well as the director Kim Wonseok and writer Lim Sangchun, known for dramas such as ‘Misaeng,’ ‘Signal,’ and ‘My Mister.’
“When Life Gives You Tangerines” is expected to provide an unforgettable resonance with its story set in Jeju. The gathering of irreplaceable actors has garnered great interest and anticipation. Following ‘My Mister,’ IU will reunite with director Kim Wonseok for the second time. Ae Soon, played by IU, is a rebellious character who defies her given fate, born and raised in Jeju.
Park Bo Gum will portray Gwan Sik, a stoic character who expresses himself more through actions than words. Gwan Sik, who has been sincere since childhood, silently and wholeheartedly likes Ae Soon. Moon So Ri and Park Hae Joon will also play the adult versions of Ae Soon and Gwan Sik, respectively.
