The drama ‘Signal’ is coming back for season 2.

On March 14, screenwriter Kim Eun Hee visited La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy, to attend an event titled ‘The Power of K-Contents: The Secret to the Korean Film and Drama Boom – Meetings with Writers, Actors, and Producers’.

She, along with other actors, talked about Korean works and contents, K-pop, and especially caught attention by sharing the news that CEO Jang and writer Kim are preparing for ‘Signal’ season 2.

They previously worked together in the drama “Revenant” in 2023.

Writer Kim has previously expressed her determination for a sequel to ‘Signal’. In an interview with Xsportsnews in 2021, she said, “‘Signal’ was a truly great gift to me as a writer. So, I really have the desire and determination to make it in any way possible. Before I retire, I really want to show a sequel to ‘Signal’ in any way possible.”

The drama ‘Signal’, which aired in 2016, tells the story of detectives connected through urgent signals from the past that uncover long-held unsolved cases. Starring Kim Hye Soo, Jo Jin Woong, and Lee Je Hoon, it gained huge popularity and fans had been demanding a 2nd season for some time now.
