(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon has addressed the controversy surrounding her stage at the 2023 MBC Drama Awards!
On December 30, the 2023 MBC Drama Awards were held and Miyeon took the stage alone to perform her OST for the hit drama “My Dearest.” Some netizens noticed how the singer was singing out of tune and how nervous she seemed, and then some netizens alleged the video of her singing was pulled from Naver and wondered whether it was due to the attention it received or due to a technical error.
Miyeon then took to SNS to address her singing at the 2023 MBC Drama Awards, she said, “To the viewers of the MBC Drama Awards and fans, I am honored to be able to perform on such a prestigious stage. I was so happy to be able to sing a song that I really love, but I was very nervous and my pitch… I made a big mistake. I think many people were surprised when they watched the monitor. I apologize to those who were disappointed by my performance on this congratulatory stage, and I will strive to become a Miyeon who works even harder in the future.”
