Kim So-yeon, CEO of Walt Disney Company Korea, said this about a potential 2nd season of “Moving” at the ‘2023 Disney+ Open House’ held in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 22nd.
CEO Kim said, “We are definitely considering ‘Moving’ Season 2. Since Kang Full’s work has a wide world view and potential, we have been discussing it from the beginning.”
She continued, “We had opened discussions because we expected ‘Moving’ to be successful. We need to have specific discussions, but I definitely want to do Season 2. When Kang Full takes a break and comes back, we should start the story, but our determination is firm.”
She also said, “As you may know, ‘Moving’ had a good performance from the moment it was released. It is the most successful work among all content since the launch of Disney+ [in Korea], and it has become an important turning point for us in terms of business.”
She added, “I believe that the strength of the story based on Kang Full’s webtoon was significant. The story was well structured, becoming stronger and deeper with each episode, while crossing various genres.”

‘Moving’ is a superhero action drama about children living in the present with hidden superpowers and parents who have lived with painful secrets from the past, facing a huge danger that transcends time and generations.
The popularity of ‘Moving’ was also evident in the number of new subscribers to Disney+. Within a week of its release, ‘Moving’ attracted approximately 140,000 new users and topped the popularity index, captivating viewers.
