Should KBS Be Punished For Leaking A Private Conversation Between Lee Sun Kyun And Ms. A? Complaints Filed To The KCSC
The Korea Communications Standards Commission (hereafter referred to as KCSC) announced that it has received complaints against KBS for reporting on the private conversations of the late Lee Sun Kyun.
On the 28th, the KCSC stated, “Two complaints related to this matter were received today. We will review the content of the complaints and decide whether to deliberate on them.”
Last month, KBS reported on the phone conversations between Lee Sun Kyun, who was under investigation for drug use, and the manager of an entertainment establishment, Ms. A. The reported content included personal conversations unrelated to the drug use allegations, which led to criticism following the sudden tragic passing of the actor.
On December 27, it was reported that a male in his 40s was found inside a car, later, police confirmed the identity of the person to be actor Lee Sun Kyun. Later, his agency also confirmed the unfortunate news and said the funeral will be held privately and only attend by close family and friends.
Lee Sun Kyun’s funeral hall has been set up at Seoul National University Hospital, and the funeral will be held on the 29th.
