VIXX’s N (aka Cha Hak Yeon) has recently sat down for an interview following the conclusion of the hit drama “Castaway Diva” and talked about his group’s recent comeback!
On the 8th, an interview with Cha Hak Yeon took place at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul. During the interview, he expressed regret at not being able to participate in VIXX activities, saying, “I put in a lot of effort, but it didn’t work out.”
VIXX released a new album, ‘CONTINUUM,’ last month after a four-year hiatus. However, due to Cha Hak Yeon’s filming schedule, he had to miss out on the activities, and fans expressed dissatisfaction, wondering if he was only focusing on his acting career.
Cha Hak Yeon said, “Talks about the album started in April. Since then, we began discussing schedules with the members. We had extensive discussions with the company to coordinate schedules, and we put in a lot of effort. I also wanted to participate, so it was an opinion like, ‘Let’s do it somehow.’ However, the decision for Castaway Diva was made before that, and the filming schedule turned out to be more extensive than I thought, so unfortunately, I couldn’t join.”
He continued, “It wasn’t a situation where we could postpone group activities because of me, and the members had their schedules, so it didn’t work out. Seeing the members saying, ‘It must be more disappointing for you,’ made me think that I need to do well.”
Cha Hak Yeon understands the fans’ reactions expressing disappointment. He said, “It’s natural to feel regret and disappointment. Especially, watching the scenes where Mok-ha (Park Eun Bin) likes Ran-joo (Kim Hyo Jin) this time, I thought a lot about it. Fans see me in that way, and since there won’t be such opportunities, it’s regrettable. I discussed with the members that if our schedules match next time, let’s definitely do it together.”
