Various famous celebrities have celebrated Children’s Day meaningfully, as May 5 marks the 101st Children’s Day.
Before Children’s Day, stars such as Lee Byung Hun, Park Bo Young, Lee Jong Suk, Kim Go Eun, Chanyeol, and Lee Seung Gi already donated. IU also drew attention by participating in donations with her boyfriend Lee Jong Suk through steady donations.
Park Bo Young donated 100 million won [$75,947] and Kim Go Eun donated 50 million won to Seoul Children’s Hospital and Seoul National University Children’s Hospital, respectively. Park Bo Young had been notably donating for 10 years.
Lee Byung Hun donated 100 million won to Seoul Asan Children’s Hospital on May 5th and has been consistently donating to the hospital. On May 4, Lee Seung Gi surprised the children at Seoul National University Children’s Hospital with a special performance. Comedian Yang Se-hyung served as the MC for the event.
Lee Jong Suk donated 100 million won to Seoul Asan Children’s Hospital on May 3rd, expressing his hope that all children grow up healthy and happy just like the master of his own family.
IU also made a donation. On May 5th, she donated 100 million won to Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
