Actor Kwak Do Won Charged For Drunk Driving In Jeju, Agency Responds
Actor Kwak Do Won (49, real name Kwak Byeong Gyu) has been sent to the prosecution for drunk driving.
On December 15th, Jeju Seobu Police Station announced that it has sent Kwak Do Won to the prosecution for drunk driving. In addition, the passenger, a man in his 30s, was handed over to the prosecution on charges of aiding and abetting drunk driving.
Kwak Do Won is accused of drunk driving with a man who drank with him at a bar in Geumneung-ri, Hallim-eup, Jeju-si on September 25 at 4:00 am KST in his SUV.
Kwak Do Won is accused of drunk driving about 11km from Geumneung-ri, Hallim-eup to Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup. The blood alcohol level was 0.158%, far exceeding the license revocation (0.08% or more).
Regarding this, the agency Mada Entertainment said, “Regardless of the reason, Kwak Do Won and the agency feel responsible without any excuse. We apologize for causing concern to many people who watched Kwak Do Won, and we sincerely apologize again for causing controversy.”
Kwak Do Won has finished filming the movie “Fireman” and OTT TVing’s new original series “Villains”. However, due to this drunk driving scandal, the two works were put on alert.
