There was a protest truck sent to Big Hit Entertainment’s headquarters earlier today and it has gotten mixed feedback from fans all around the world.

Photos of the truck were shared to the qoo, the protest truck was parked outside the building for the whole world to see, the messages displayed on the monitor were harsh in tone accusing Big Hit of using BTS and ARMY for their success, also calling them ‘going crazy over stocks,’ and more. The protest truck is said to be the work of Korean ARMY, not the international fandom.

In their statement, the fans protesting had these reasons to do so:

  1. Big Hit’s media play using BTS, the fans accuse Big Hit of using BTS despite releasing a press statement stating their plans to be less dependent on BTS, the fans state that the way they have handled the family concert shows that they’re incapable of not depending on BTS or ARMY.
  2. The family label concert which many Korean fans had already protested, many don’t want to see other label artists aside from BTS at the end-year concert.
  3. The prices for the family concert which the fans called ‘exorbitant,’ fans aren’t aware of how long BTS set be at the concert and don’t understand why they’re charging such a huge price for the concert.
  4. The lack of bond, the fans argue they don’t feel a sense of belonging or a concept like Big Hit has pushed forward. Despite what they previously stated, fans argue Big Hit has been trying hard to push the narrative that the Big Hit label artists (many of whom were acquired recently) are a big family.

There are also fans protesting against “YOUTH” drama filming, the drama is based on BTS Universe and was previously under heavy fire for using BTS real names on fictional characters that deal with hardships and difficult themes, fans feared it will cause confusion among the general public about the real identity of BTS members. The drama has halted filming for the past couple of months after Big Hit revealed their plans to reconsider the characters’ names.

After seeing the protest trucks, there seems to be disagreement between the Korean and international fandom, while K-ARMY are cheering on the protest truck, the international ARMY are expressing their disappointment and astonishment at the reasons why they’re protesting.
