YG Issues Update On BLACKPINK’s Contracts Negotiations + Lisa And Jennie’s Managers Changes In Linkedin Profiles Catch Attention
YG Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as YG) is still negotiating a contract renewal with the group BLACKPINK!
On the 14th, YG announced through its quarterly report, “As of the disclosure date, we are currently negotiating a contract renewal with our artists. The final results will be announced through a public disclosure of ‘major management matters related to investment judgments’ in the future.”
BLACKPINK, who debuted in August 2016, had their contract expire last August. Various rumors circulated regarding the renewal, including discussions of individual agencies and offers from overseas agencies worth 50 billion won.
In relation to this new update, fans have noticed that staff members of the group have changed their linkedin profiles.
Particularly, Lisa’s manager, who has been working as a senior manager at YG since 2018, announced through her LinkedIn profile that she left YG at the end of October.
The manager who was in charge of Jennie’s overseas schedules also updated her LinkedIn profile, stating that she left the agency after working at YG for four years until October 2023.
Currently, the members are not actively engaged in group activities since their Seoul concert in September.
