TEMPEST group member Hwarang has acknowledged and apologized for a privacy controversy.
On the 20th, their agency stated on the official fan cafe, “Regarding the privacy issues related to Hwarang spread through SNS, we sincerely apologize to the fans who have been concerned due to the actions of our artist, Hwarang.”
They continued, “The content circulated on SNS is not entirely true, and Hwarang deeply reflects on visiting the mentioned place. He has pledged not to repeat such behavior, and both our agency and Hwarang will pay special attention to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.”
In conclusion, they bowed their heads and expressed, “As we approach the comeback, we offer a deep apology once again to the fans and TEMPEST members for causing concern.”
Previously, a video circulated on SNS where Hwarang, during a video call fan signing event, responded to a fan’s question about being seen at a club. Hwarang admitted to visiting the club, saying, “I didn’t do anything wrong. I have never been with a girl.”The video also mentioned the name of another group member who was with Hwarang at the club, sparking controversy.TEMPEST, debuted in March 2022, is gearing up for the release of their fifth mini-album ‘TEMPEST Voyage’ on March 11th. Hwarang has been selected as an MC for MBC M’s ‘Show! Champion,’ which will be broadcast live on the 21st.
