SM Entertainment has provided an update on the progress of the legal action against malicious commenters targeting Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon.
On the 22nd, SM Entertainment released a statement about the continuous horrible comments Taeyeon has been receiving and the progress made to hold these individuals accountable.
They said, “Currently, the police have identified six individuals in relation to the legal cases, with four of them undergoing investigation, and two of them being sent to the prosecution for indictment. In addition, there are multiple ongoing investigations into other cases, and we are awaiting further progress.”
SM Entertainment emphasized their commitment to actively monitor and take legal measures to protect their artists, not only in Taeyeon’s case but in all similar incidents of illegal activities. They stated that they would continue to respond strongly with legal actions.
Furthermore, SM Entertainment recently established an online reporting center called ‘KWANGYA 119’ to protect the rights of their artists.
The statement concluded with a promise to provide continuous updates on the final disposition of the cases that have been sent for prosecution and any additional progress in the ongoing investigations.
