tvN drama ‘Queen of Tears’ led by the on-screen couple Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won will not be conducting a final interview as the show comes to an end.
Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, announced on the 24th of April, “Due to difficulties in adjusting schedules, we will not be able to proceed with the final interview.” Earlier, on the 22nd, Kim Ji Won’s agency also revealed that they will not be conducting a final interview.
‘Queen of Tears’ recorded a viewership rating of 21.6% (Nielsen Korea, nationwide) with its 14th episode, which aired on the 21st. Fans have shown disappointment at the news of the cancellation of the main actors’ interviews, as there were expectations that the drama would surpass Park Ji Eun’s previous work, ‘Crash Landing on You’ (21.7%), which holds the highest viewership rating in tvN drama history.
Meanwhile, supporting actors who shone in ‘Queen of Tears’ will be participating in interviews to meet viewers. Kim Gab Soo, who portrayed Hong Man Dae, has already completed his interview. Park Sung Hoon (Yoon Eun Sung), Kwak Dong Yeon (Hong Su Cheol), and Lee Joo Bin (Cheon Da Hye) are scheduled to conduct their interviews before and after the drama’s conclusion.
The 15th and final episodes of ‘Queen of Tears’ will be broadcast on the 27th and 28th in a special programming schedule, with airing time-shifted 10 minutes earlier to 9:10 PM.
